The Black Health Movement Conference will take place from October 20-21, 2018 at Harvard University.
This year’s theme is “Black Health: Cradle to Grave”. We will be exploring the various elements of and barriers to Black Health at different stages of life from maternal/infant health to end of life care.
This conference aims to provide attendees with an understanding of how to develop interdisciplinary approaches to addressing health issues within the Black Community.
The Black Health Movement Conference will bring together students and speakers from across the country to explore how past and present sociopolitical climates have impacted the health of Black communities.We will analyze health disparities faced by Black people by shedding light on specific issues ranging from social stigma surrounding mental health to the effects of healthcare policy. We aim to bring together attendees from a variety of backgrounds to discuss interdisciplinary approaches to tackling these issues.
